716 GIRLS WIN HIGH SCHOOL C DIVISION
From April 7-9, more than 400 Squash and Education student-athletes gathered at the Specter Center in Philadelphia marking our first large-scale tournament since March of 2020.
716 Squash brought a boys’ team and girls’ team and competed in the high school team divisions for the first time with 7th-9th graders. Our girls were down 2-0 in the high school C division finals against SquashBusters Lawrence when Teresa (9th, Buffalo Seminary) pulled out a quick 3-0 victory. At the number 1 spot, Zaharree (9th, Middle Early College High School) fought back to win 3-2 to tie the team up 2-2. It all came down to our #3, Snow (9th, Nichols School) who took an early 2-0 lead in close games before falling in the next two, bringing us to the 5th game. Down 9-6, Snow’s mental toughness brought her back to win 11-9. With cheers and tears, our girls won it all!
