716 Squash, Buffalo’s urban squash and education program is in the process of launching! After seven years of experience working for Baltimore’s program, SquashWise, I have relocated to my home city and am leading 716 Squash full-time. The mission of 716 Squash is to empower youth in Buffalo to reach their full potential as students, athletes, and engaged citizens by providing long-term support and life-changing opportunities through education, mentoring, service, and squash. We anticipate achieving similar, incredible results, to the other 19 urban squash programs in 19 cities across the US, including 100% high school graduation and 96% college matriculation rates.
A big “thank you” to many of you for your time and eagerness to help over the past few months. The support I’ve received from you and the rest of the Buffalo community has been truly inspiring and fully reinforces our belief that 716 Squash will thrive in this community.
We will be hosting a series of events over the next few months including our launch party in the spring. I look forward to meeting with you and working together to improve educational outcomes for Buffalo youth through 716 Squash, as well as increase access to the incredible game we all love. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
Sincerely,
Hope Blinkoff Lynch
